Something Controversial

Something controversial might be what I need to attract attention to my blog. With that in mind I've decided to delve into the world of politics; the just concluded presidential election to be precise. As we all know, the current president, one Barack Hussein Obama won reelection over challenger Mitt Romney.

But is that what really happened? Did Barack Hussein Obama win legitimately or was the election stolen? According to some internet news stories I've read some think that voter fraud explains why Mitt Romney lost. The website Barack O'Fraudo contends that, if not for voter fraud, Mitt Romney would have won swing states Colorado, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. If true, then Mitt Romney should have been the victor by the electoral landslide predicted by both Karl Rove and Dick Morris.

So what do you think? Was the election stolen for (with or without the knowledge of) Barack Hussein Obama?

Blog Readers Are Missing Out

Blog readers are missing out by not visiting, reading, and responding to my blog posts. Soon my blog may be shuttered and they'll never know what might have been. All the witty, interesting and insightful posts I would have written if only someone had shown the least bit of interest. When it comes to an end they'll be sorry.

Or, people not reading now might stumble upon my blog at a latter date, read what I wrote up until the time I decided to stop, and lament the fact that I did not continue. If someone responds then, will I become encouraged to start up my blog again? Who knows? I think it depends on how much time has passed. I may lose interest and this future response might go unnoticed. Or, I may have become extremely bitter about the fact that people refused to respond.

You had your chance. It came and went, and now (in the future), my attitude might be "screw you"! Honestly, I'm getting there now. At first I was simply perplexed regarding the lack of interest. Now I'm starting to get mad.

Convince Me to Not Shut Down My Blog

Yesterday I expressed exasperation at my blog so far not receiving any comments or followers. As a result of this lack of interest, I decided to shut down my blog. This action most likely resulted in a few disappointed lurkers (lurkers are people who read but never respond). Now they may have left a response begging me not to shut down my blog, but probably figured it was useless because I'd never read what they wrote (having shut down my blog and moved on).

The purpose of this post is to assure people that if any comments or pleas to continue are posted - I will see them. And I'll respond. I could even be convinced to not shut down my blog. I think that just one word of encouragement could get me going again. It only takes one to get the ball rolling. Before long I could have hundreds of followers. I hope that anyone who was reading my blog comes back after reading that last post.

If you are a person who was reading (and enjoying) my blog but left after I said I was quitting... but happen to check in again and read this... please come back (and post a comment letting me know you want me to continue blogging). If you're a new reader please stick around for a little while... and post a comment letting me know you want the witty and insightful posts to continue. I want to share my wisdom with the world, but don't wish to waste my time if no one is reading.

Shutting Down My Blog

OK, that's it. I give up. I gave it a decent shot, but apparently my fellow bloggers aren't interested in witty and insightful writing. I have, therefore, decided to shut down my blog. I mean, why waste my time sharing my wisdom with the world if the world decides it's going to ignore me? I have better things to do with my time than throw it away writing posts not a single person will read.

Follow Me

I keep hitting refresh, but still no comments or followers. What the hell is going on here? I already told people that they should comment and follow me in order to stay apprised of whenever I posted something witty, clever, and insightful. So what gives?! Come on people! Follow me, you won't regret it. In fact, I am positive that you will eventually realize that following me was one of the best decisions you ever made.

Regarding the Number of Comments My Inaugural Blog Post Received

Welcome to my blog! Although this is only my second blog post, I hope to attract a vast readership in short order. Apparently my first post didn't do the trick. For the life of me I can't understand why. My first post went up yesterday. Today I returned, expecting several comments (at least), but... nothing.

Needless to say, I'm quite discouraged. Perhaps this blogging thing isn't for me. No followers yet, but that's understandable, as I haven't added the followers gadget. I'll have to do that soon. Then I at least (hopefully) will attract some followers... people who like to read the writings of witty, clever and insightful authors but don't have the nerve to actually respond.

Those are the type of people my first post must have attracted. If that's the type of blog reader you are, I assure you that, whatever comment you can come up with, it will be appreciated (and not ridiculed). Go ahead and comment.
